Comment Contest: Win a $50 AMC Theaters Gift Card for a Family Movie Night!

movie-popcornOK, it can’t get much easier than this… just leave a comment to this post that lists your favorite real or fictional movie gadget, device, technology, etc. that has been depicted in a feature film (yes, animated movies count).

And that’s it!

At the end of April, a winner for the $50 AMC Theaters Gift Card will be selected at random from those that participate so be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment (email addresses are not visible to the public and will only be used for the purpose of this contest). Making more than one comment may stimulate exciting conversations with fellow visitors but will only provide one entry into the contest. For additional entries, try one of the following methods:

  1. Become a new follower on Twitter +1
  2. Tweet this contest +1
  3. Become a new member of the FTR Facebook Group +1
  4. Write about or link to contest on your blog/site +3
  5. Submit an article for FTR +5

    IMO - hands down, ever since the original movie, is the Stargate.

  5. I have no original ideas but minority report had a really bad computer monitor that was transparent and was a touchscreen. Very apple-esque! Oh and I retweeted this too. Awseome idea uncle mikey.

  47. I’ve always wanted the hover-board from “Back to the Future”. I swore when I was a kid back in the 80’s that I would have one by at least 2000. Unfortunately it’s 2009 and still nothing. The only thing that could lift my spirits now is a free $50 gift card to AMC theaters. ;o)

  64. Agree with the Harry Potter cloak (love the flying car too, or even a broomstick!). And the transporter in Star Trek captured my imagination as a kid and never let go. I loved the Neuralizer in Men in Black. And the Lightsaber in Star Wars, well that speaks to the inner nerd in all of us.
    Oh, and my husband says Rodney Dangerfield’s golf bag in Caddy Shack LOL

  73. Someone above mentioned Harry Potter; I have to say that’s where a lot of my favorite movie “technology” comes from. Flying household objects? Yes, please!

    And the fridge from the latest Indiana Jones movie. I don’t know what it’s made of, but it’s clearly indestructible — always a good thing!
